And .............This Too Shall Pass

A small story to throw light onto my theme……This too shall pass….

One day Solomon decided to humble Benaiah ben Yehoyada, his most trusted minister. He said to him, "Benaiah, there is a certain ring that I want you to bring to me. I wish to wear it for Sukkot which gives you six months to find it."

"If it exists anywhere on earth, your majesty," replied Benaiah, "I will find it and bring it to you, but what makes the ring so special?"

"It has magic powers," answered the king. "If a happy man looks at it, he becomes sad, and if a sad man looks at it, he becomes happy." Solomon knew that no such ring existed in the world, but he wished to give his minister a little taste of humility.

Spring passed and then summer, and still Benaiah had no idea where he could find the ring. On the night before Sukkot, he decided to take a walk in one of he poorest quarters of Jerusalem. He passed by a merchant who had begun to set out the day's wares on a shabby carpet. "Have you by any chance heard of a magic ring that makes the happy wearer forget his joy and the broken-hearted wearer forget his sorrows?" asked Benaiah.

He watched the grandfather take a plain gold ring from his carpet and engrave something on it. When Benaiah read the words on the ring, his face broke out in a wide smile.

That night the entire city welcomed in the holiday of Sukkot with great festivity. "Well, my friend," said Solomon, "have you found what I sent you after?" All the ministers laughed and Solomon himself smiled.

To everyone's surprise, Benaiah held up a small gold ring and declared, "Here it is, your majesty!" As soon as Solomon read the inscription, the smile vanished from his face. The jeweler had written three Hebrew letters on the gold band: _gimel, zayin, yud_, which began the words "_Gam zeh ya'avor_" -- "This too shall pass."

At that moment Solomon realized that all his wisdom and fabulous wealth and tremendous power were but fleeting things, for one day he would be nothing but dust.

The one constant in this universe is that everything changes....

Malshej.. Heaven on earth…Beauty untouched…

As we commenced our journey, with the grace of the almighty bestowed on us, we or at least I never thought that by the end of the day, we would hope that Time would not have hastened as fast as it did….

The winger dashed through the busy streets, the little mushy roads and finally entered the woods journeying the way to our destination. The characters in the winger were not all that funny though…. I would try and elaborate.. No hard feelings though!!

The inseparable couple seemed to enjoy the scenic beauty during the preliminary stage of their togetherness aside the disconnected Azam bhai who drove us all the way, … The guys, not so jolly; n gals, soo very cheerful and not to forget the "Women In Black" were singing their hearts out as the car drove across the plains to a higher region to get to the Malsej ghat..

As we entered the ghat region, it was as if we'd taken a flight to heaven…with cloud clad mountains and cool breeze alluring us…As we moved on there was water that infuriated the one's seated on the back seat…(pani pani pani!!!!!!!!)….. that stroke the driver with horror as he stopped the car abruptly …

The beauty of the highland was enchanting and the flowing water that we drenched our self in was captivating that we just did not want to move out of it…….a few threw themselves into it as if they've never seen water before.. some were a little unsure but later couldn't resist…. but two beauties were afraid it wud hamper their skin and preferred to stay aloof…… It was fun though…splashing water. …. searching for the 'dagad'….trying to soak a person wearing a windcheater in the water and so on….

In the meanwhile, the cricket match that was played took the breathe away from everyone.. and that is in the real sense…..the oldies were actually panting and hunting for water….
As we were having our lunch, the heavenly droplets that fell from above seemed like some blessings from above….we could be sure that they were water droplets since there were no trees around for birds to shower their droppings……..

It was like a bunch of comedians…..roaming freely….cracking nonsensical jokes.. attempting to play badminton as the air was blowing strong …

Although the sun was not all that harsh on us, there was a person who felt the need to heed his vision. Every time he was out of the water, he had IT-------the goggle boy!!!

After the water segment, .. all were lazying around.. partly tired but still full of hopes to move on.. Then the next spot was decided … The Lenyadri…. an Ashtavinayak temple. We had to climb 307 steps to get to the holy place. Though it was quite straining,.. all got there with high spirits or……….. Rather breathing heavily should be more precise…but however, not to forget the person with joie de vivre who got there in the first place…

We were at a great height and the holy place made us feel like we've attained salvation, as the clouds moved leisurely across the sturdy mountains, we stood admiring the beauty so profound…The monkeys there, were a menace ….but an enjoyment too.. they snatched the bisleri bottle from the poor goggle boy leaving him too terrified that he even mistook a little innocent boy as one of the monkeys….moreover, one of a very adventurous category one got the pretty girls a small bunch of flowers too..

The return journey was as amazing and enjoyable.. all were still full of life.. leaving alone a couple of them, (that is, besides the couple), who only enjoyed being audience and shelling out money (farmaish: pachas rupiah per recommendation) and not participating….. The only difference this time was that we were not singing our hearts out but our throats out…

Last but not the least…came the most awaited rains…..so we could atleast say..
"Malshej ja kar waterfalls nahi dekha to kya..rainfalls to dekha…"

Nevertheless, the experience was much much beyond what I had expected…. it was THE most memorable day with my fortunate CM colleagues who could make it to the trip…

Thanks a ton guys…It was my pleasure to have a journey with you all!

Break free!!

As the sun dawns over the mountains
The early morning beads of moisture glitters over the leaves
The thin waves of wind touch your feet
And as the chirpy little birds address the green world to rise

Happiness is relished by the fresh minds
As the flower blooms by
However the freshness and fragrance at times
Is perturbed later during the day

So break free from the dubious world
Endeavor to be blissful, as mankind needs to be
And throw away all thy worries
Across the dusk that retreats away

Life everyday!!!

Live each day as if there is no tomorrow…goes a famous saying by someone, now i really don't know who has said these words, or like world famous Shahrukh Khan says" K K Kal Ho Na Ho!! But it's true, that's the ideal way to live LIFE EVERYDAY!!! Live it to the fullest today, assuming that there's no tomorrow.

Life: Its something no Ambani's can buy, no Dawood's can bribe, and no Osama can strive….. It is the one thing that is destined to the human race. It is better or rather best if one does not ponder much on the subject, coz the more u think about life, the more mystifying it is. One life is all u have …..so think less n accomplish more

So buddy!!….

Live for today

Plan for tomorrow

Party tonight!!!

Simplicity… that's me!!!

Now I did not know how to simplify the word "simplicity" in a much more simpler way!!! Not praising myself though….;)

Anyways, as far as I am concerned,Authenticity or genuineness can best describe simplicity…. A person can be inwardly rich if he is beset with inner simplicity.

…. Simplicity is the best thing a human can ever contain in their true nature… mind u, their TRUE nature. Being simple does not just mean to have plainness in your attire or way of life. That's a wrong perception, I would say!

The attribute needs to be in your character. In the way you speak, in your actions, mainly in your thought. Precisely what I mean to say is that the element needs to be held by the mind. All the actions and words are merely a depiction of human mind. The mind interprets the individual's personality as a whole.

As quoted by Leonardo da Vinci, "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.".

Let the mind free.....be content

Along the riverside,
As the birds flew high
I sat looking at the sky
And a thought crawled by
Y do we entangle our minds
With thoughts that enrage our lives
And journey all the way
Knowing not the secret, to be content all day!
