One fine morning
Perched on my railing
A green little bird
My cute little parrot
I offered her chilly
And she came in timidly
To not return
From wherever she came
Initial hiccups
We both endured
Then grew the bonding - that will be cheered
Half a year down
We had our terms
Then came the rule
That nature drew
The rule was to fly and mine to bid adieu
Yes I cared and so I miss
Nature alone knows where she sits
I know she is gone to be by herself
Still in hope someday she will return
Leaving her crate open for her
I wonder all day awaiting her
If she ever had a thing for me
If she ever felt the way I feel
I still whistle to hear one back
I called out too, to hear her cheep
But all I hear is the loop in the cage
It sways alone as the wind blows by
As I recall the sweet moments enjoyed
Perched on my railing
A green little bird
My cute little parrot
I offered her chilly
And she came in timidly
To not return
From wherever she came
Initial hiccups
We both endured
Then grew the bonding - that will be cheered
Half a year down
